Date with the Library

Even though I didn’t have class, it was a very busy day consisting of grocery shopping, gazpacho making and library hating. Turns out I was short on ingredients for the gazpacho last night, and ended up making it this afternoon. It turned out really good! I used home grown tomatoes and onions (my cucumbers from home were already woody inside so I had to pick up some fresh ones), a blend of spices and a splash of O.J., which I think did the trick! Then it was off to the library…

I had a meeting with my Gender Comm group members to punch out our research proposal for Monday (we decided with Halloween over the weekend, we wouldn’t get any of it done). After that, I continued to work on my Nepal research grant proposal – which only consists of the about me section and a brief introduction to the project. I will, hopefully, be creating a photo-journal of the growing independence of women of my generation in Nepal, covering their ideals, dreams, and what they are doing to accomplish them. I’ll have more on this later, but right now I have to get back to my reading for my Islam class – 110 pages for tomorrow, bright and early at 8 a.m.
